Square Enix has recently concluded their annual pre Tokyo Game Show event. Themed as a Final Fantasy XIII Premiere Party this year, the most important information revealed was the release date of the title. 1UP reports the Japanese date as December 17, 2009.

When asked about the Western release, it was stated that Square Enix thinks the title may hit other shores within 6-8 months.

Japanese fans may be interested to hear that a PS3/Final Fantasy XIII hardware bundle is planned. No word of a Western release of the bundle was announced.
