With the news that Mike Oeming would be do a double-billing signing with Mike Mignola at Midtown Comics Times Square store, PCS took the opportunity to get a mini Q&A with the Hellboy creator:

1) Hellboy has some of the coolest merchandise. The Bowen statues and busts, the PVC figures, ornaments, and even the Hellboy Talking Board. Which one is your favorite and what new things can we expect?

I love the Eric So figure because it's so odd. I love the Talking Board because I think it's very cool and weird and pretty classy looking. I'm also looking forward to the litte retro-looking Hellboy figure sculpted by YOE! Studios - part of that Dark Horse Classic Comic Character Series.

2) When can we look forward to seeing you draw a Hellboy story again? The covers are great but don't satisfy our fix :(

I just finished drawing a very odd Hellboy short story for the Anthology THE DARK HORSE BOOK OF THE DEAD and I'm currently back at work on the mini-series THE ISLAND - the long awaited follow-up to THE THIRD WISH.

3) Any plans to introduce any new members to BPRD?

We are adding a new team leader to the BPRD in the next mini series (THE DEAD) along with a new headquarters and a bunch of new problems.

4) What story-arc/s will Hellboy 2 encompass? (And any other scoops you wish to dish out about the movie are certainly welcome :)

About all I can say about Hellboy 2 at the moment is that it focuses much more on the folklore stuff, rather than the Nazi Mad Scientist stuff.
