For those of you who have read Top Shelf’s The Surrogates… Well, this doesn’t look a whole lot like it, other than the initial concept (human beings almost entirely interact in the future through perfect, robotic versions of themselves), and the plot (…and then somebody starts murdering them). But what do you expect from a Hollywood/Bruce Willis version of a comic book series?

1) Is it just me, or did they blow the climax of the film?

2) Speaking of climaxes, the biggest problem with the series is that it never really paid off on the promise of the first issue or two. So despite my naysaying above, I’m actually looking forward to the movie getting it (hopefully) right.
