In the comments of my recent Toys You Won’t Be Ashamed to Own: Uni-Formz Green & Blue Lanterns post, Rea said, “Yannow what are the BEST DC figures coming out? The BLAMMOIDs!!! oh my goodness, too cute. :)”

As it turns out, Series 1 is coming out on Wednesday, so now’s a good time for a follow-up. One thing’s for sure, though — I won’t be categorizing this one under “Toys You Won’t Be Ashamed to Own”. Because while DC Direct’s Blammoids are bursting with originality, they’re way too cute for you to leave them sitting on your desk if you have a girl over.

Unless of course the girl’s a geek. In which case, she’ll probably be taking a few of the little guys with her.

My favorites in the Series 1 set have to be Firestorm, whose hair makes him looks like the coolest lighter ever, and the Joker whose lack of eyes give him the necessary creepy factor.
