Eddie Campbell talks about George Herriman

By: Rich Watson

You know him best as the From Hell artist and creator of the Alec series of graphic novels. In his blog, Eddie Campbell picks up on the rare George Herriman cartoons posted by Allan Holtz (which I mentioned a week or two ago here) and goes further into the discussion about the Golden Age legend, which includes a very rare photograph of Herriman himself.

Thanks to Pam for the link.

Plus: Tyrese Gibson wants to play Luke Cage. John Singleton wants to direct. But it just ain’t happening yet.

The only guy who can play Luke Cage from a “look” stand point is that brother from the tv show “Shark” and “NYPD Blue”, who’s name escapes me. Dee

AND after what he did to “Shaft”, John Singleton needs to stay the hell away from film versions of black icons in movies and literature–That includes comics!!! Dee
