The Roland flashbacks were my least favorite thing in the entire 7-novel epic, but they've managed to focus all the energy on expanding that part of the story. Comic reader who never read the book--whether they like the David/Furth comics or not--have no idea what they're missing. Time travel, dimension hopping, grandfather paradoxes, metatextual pop culture references, and friggin Doombots weilding exploding snitches and lightsabers! Seriously. Groan…I just wish they’d get to adapting the actual novels already!!!
