I regret to announce that as of yesterday, I have stepped down from my position as editor of UVC. While I found the past year spent helping to launch and build this magazine creatively fulfilling, circumstances have changed to the point where it’s no longer in my best interests to continue with them. I wish to thank all the fans, creators, and retailers who supported UVC from the get-go. Your enthusiasm was of great comfort to me this past year. My departure from the magazine in no way affects Glyphs; I’m still here and I will continue to be here, doing what I’ve been doing. The open call for submissions for the 2008 Glyph Comics Awards will be announced next month, and I look forward to begin putting that together with this year’s judges.

In other news: Marvel’s planning an anthology series featuring work by indy creators, and one of the stories planned features Brother Voodoo.

It’s up to the Herge estate to decide what the ultimate fate of Tintin in the Congo will be.
