I don’t write as much about black sci-fi/fantasy novels as much as I used to, but I’ve written about this author before and she’s been kind enough to keep me in the loop regarding her latest work, so I figure I’ll give her a shout-out here. Nnedi Okorafor-Mbachu, author of Zahrah the Windseeker, is back with a new book called The Shadow Speaker.

Two episodes of Heroes down and Nichelle Nichols has yet to do anything important. I would feel more than a bit ripped off except I am kinda getting into the show now. I have a co-worker who’s a die-hard fan (even though she doesn’t read comics!) who interprets the overall plot elements for me, though it’s still a lot to take in.
