News from the Big Apple Con this past weekend: Blackjack creator Alex Simmons is putting together a part comic-con, part learning seminar for kids this April. The inaugural Kids Comic Con will be Saturday, April 28 at the Bronx Community College here in New York, from 11-6. He’s promising comics-making workshops, guest creators, retailers, and a cartoon-watching area. More on this as it develops.

Professor Bill Foster‘s travelling exhibition of black comics history will come to Geppi’s Entertainment Museum in Baltimore beginning next month, from February 3 – March 17.
