		<description>It still bothers me, especially the facts that (a) they&#039;ve been back-door retconned into continuity with no apparent explanation, and (b) they have to fight in their first meeting - one of the oldest cliches in superhero comics. 

Here&#039;s a ballsy idea: Keep the characters&#039; histories intact, but actually have them deal with the consequences of suddenly living on an alternate earth, instead of this half-assed &quot;they&#039;ve always been part of Earth-1&quot; deal, which makes absolutely no sense. That would make for more original stories at the very least.</description>

I read a blogpost at Newsarama on whether an Obama presidency would make a Captain America film more appealing globally.  I agree with the commentary you linked to that real life politics should have little bearing on the  film&#039;s tone.  Note that the latest Indiana Jones film was a blockbuster despite criticism by some Russian bigwigs that it was anti-communist.  (Not touching that one.)

Shifting gears, what&#039;s your view of the DC/Milestone Cabinet crossover in JLA?</description>
