The submission period for the 2009 GCAs is now closed, and I wanna thank everyone who sent in stuff. It feels a bit odd to be outside the voting process this year, but at the same time the anxiety of not knowing what will get nominated is greater. Marvel says that wasn’t really President Obama in a recent issue of Thunderbolts. Oh really? Then why have they gone to such lengths to cash in on his appearance in Amazing Spider-Man? Either Obama is president of the Marvel Universe or he isn’t, but don’t try to foist this half-assed crap on us that doesn’t even look like a black guy anyway.
