Justice V2 HC, Universe X V2 TP. Pencilled art by Doug Braithwaite.
X-Factor Visionaries: Peter David V2. With some art by Larry Stroman.
Super Bad James Dynomite #5. Written by the Wayans Bros.
A little bit of news from Megacon, courtesy of Newsarama: Mario Gully says that Ant’s origin will run through Ant #9-12. His next project, as I think I mentioned here before, is Totem, with Jeffrey S. Kaufman Jr., and to quote the Megacon report, it’s about “what really makes a person go out and risk his life every day for others.” Gully and Kaufman are also working on a vampire book called Tempest. The big shocker, though, is that Gully has a project at Marvel coming up with none other than legendary writer Roy Thomas!
The Caribbean Cultural Center African Diaspora Institute is an organization that seeks out and supports communities of African descendants. This Thursday here in NYC, they’re gonna present an exhibit featuring Marvel EIC Joe Quesada (a Cuban-American) and a new group of Afro-Latino superheroes called the Santerians, which debuted in Quesada’s Daredevil: Father mini-series.
Here’s a new article about the Middle Eastern Teshkeel Comics.
Cheryl Lynn’s Ormes Society now has a website.
Here’s a bit of footage of me at the Aferro Gallery panel discussion, courtesy of my pal Reid Cooper.
