For those of you in the Central Ohio area, the Small Press and Alternative Comics Expo is this weekend here in Columbus. I’ll be there along with my Sunday Comix cohorts. Look for me there.
Actor Tyrese Gibson is the latest Hollywood type to jump on the comics bandwagon – look at the cover for this comic he’s lending his name to. Unclear what role he has in the making of it.
Anybody see this recent episode of Aqua Teen Hunger Force which dealt with racial identity?

I saw that episode of ATHF. Unlike most of the posters at racialicious, I found the episode funny (or at least as absurdly surreal as any given episode of ATHF). It was funny in the same way Tropic Thunder was–blackness exists only as set of pop culture conventions and the absurdity of that was obvious. Both of them cracked me up. It’s possible I have to turn in my black card.
