The Best Comics of 2009: Pete’s List
Posted by: Alex Zalben on December 30, 2009 at 8:41 am
Over the past few days, we’ve been posting Comic Book Club’s Top 20 Comic Books of 2009 in video form. You can check out Part 1, Part 2, Part 3, and Part 4 by clicking their respective links, but I thought it might be illuminating to see the original lists we were working from.
Basically, we arrived at the video show through consensus, titles that (for the most part) all three of us could agree on. Which leads to a lot of stuff being left out. So herewith, each member of Comic Book Club’s Best of 2009, however they chose to organize it. And as always, if you disagree, talk back below!
Pete’s List:
Best Series: Old Man Logan, Mysterius The Unfathomable
Best Original Graphic Novel: 365 Samuari
Constantly Good: The Walking Dead, Deadpool, Jonah Hex, Gravel
Best New Comic: Chew, The Great Unknown, Beasts of Burden, Killer of Demons
WOW, This Comic Is Great: Scalped, Cable, Proof, Invincible Iron Man
Best comic: Daredevil, Crossed, No Hero, The Lone Ranger, Zorro, Deadpool, Hellboy, BPRD
Best 3-D: Clive Barker’s Seduth 3-D
Craziest New Comic: No Audio
…And, I declare it the year Deadpool took over comics!!!! (That, and Obama.)
