With San Diego Comic-Con rapidly heading towards us like an out of control meteor bent on revenge, we thought it would be fun to put together a video detailing some simple Comic-Con rules, in the form of “Do’s” and “Dont’s.” And then, rather late in the game, we thought it would be fun to ask for all of your help. So here’s the deal:

- Submit your short, pithy, ridiculous, super-smart pieces of advice to us in the form of do’s and dont’s. Meaning, “DO buy comic books. DON’T buy 300 graphic novels unless you own a fork-lift.”

- You can do one or the other, or both. We’ll make sure to fill in the gaps.

- You can submit by posting a comment here; replying to our Twitter feed (twitter.com/comicbooklive); or e-mailing us at comicbookclublive@gmail.com.

- If you’re feeling super ambitious, you can tape a piece of video yourself (webcam, or whatever), and send us a link (again, post a comment, on Twitter, or to our e-mail), and as long as it’s download-able or rippable (I can grab videos from YouTube, and most other sites), we’ll incorporate it in the episode.

- Here’s the catch: all suggestions, responses, and especially video need to get to us by Wednesday AM, so I have time to edit ‘em in.

Cool? Cool. And thanks in advance, you guys are the bestest.

-Do plan out where you’re going BEFORE you get to the convention. Comic-Con is a large place almost filled to capacity every year where several corridors are blocked by others who wandered around.

-Do bring your own snacks. It’s not a crime to save money and convention food is over-priced to begin with.

-Do bring a backpack. Trust me, you’ll need it.

-Do not forget to be considerate those behind in line by only having a few items signed.

-Do not forget to shower before going to a convention as it’s summer, the heat is terrible and there will be hundreds of people around you AT LEAST.

And the biggest DO NOT at a convention….

-DO NOT be one of those people who brings a cart full of comics to a creator to sign. Writers and artists have long lines, they are giving freely of their time, and their wrists can only take so much. It’s excessive to have an entire run of anything signed and you have to be considerate of the people behind you in line.

- DO think of all the people that can’t go to a comic-con becouse they are in another country.
- DO a list/schedule of your activities in the comic-con.
- DO carry you toothbrush or mints supply for the whole event (and use it!).
- DO NOT say out loud that you loved BATMAN FOREVER or BATMAN & ROBIN (the movie)… even if its true.
- DO NOT try to take pictures of costumes ladies’ underwear… its LAME! (unless they are using in over the clothes).
- DO NOT go on costume unless its completely astonishing by its awesomenes.

- DO punch (P)ete in the jeans, and tell him to relax.
- DO punch (J)ustin in the jeans, and tell him to be more seripous.
- DO NOT punch (A)lex, his OK… for now.

Do not wear clothes that are uncomfortable.

Do try to moderate your money and day, Comic Con is a three days event, with plenty to do!

Do bring your own water bottle

Do bring deodorant; just in case.

Do try to make friends, but do not be naive!
