If everything was correct about Marvel never finding any real talent in the slush pile, I suppose it isn’t much of a shock they’re changing there submission policy. Most other houses simply don’t do it at all. Still, it seems like a lot of people might be angry at the exclusivity of the change. There was a certain cool factor about a big house like Marvel accepting proposals from fan-boys. They didn’t really go into the changes that would be made; did they happen to mention specifics after the show, CBC?

Well, I think it’s as simple (and complicated) as “create your own comic and try to market it.”
