Children of Men gets 3 Oscar noms

Adapted screenplay, cinematography, and film editing. Not bad. I think Cinematography is its best shot at winning; it’s up against The Departed in the other categories and there’s no way it can pull off an upset there.

Dreamgirls gets eight nods, including Jennifer Hudson for Supporting Actress, Eddie Murphy for Supporting Actor, and three songs – but no Best Picture or Best Director.

Children of Men was good. I’d like to see it pick up one of those Oscars

It’s best bet is probably Best Adapted Screenplay. I was Surprised Dreamgirls didn’t get a nod for Best Picture. Litte Miss Sunshine was good, but sure as hell not Oscar good.
