I’m confused, no update on the pcs.com/comicbookclub link for days and I check here today by accident and there’s new vids uploaded, whats going on?

Because of some writers and their preferences for the silver age and silver age concepts, we keep regressing.

There are a slew of new characters that deserve a real chance. If they sell, great. If not, then that’s fine too. But give them a decent chance to get running.

I’m finding the mini’s to be what I’ve always wanted in a big event. They’re not totally necessary, but if you pick them up, you get a great story. Batman was surprisingly good! Superman really ramped up that horror feel and elaborated on the “spectrum-vision” and used it well. Titans was really good and I can say that as someone who doesn’t read Titans.

I have to admit the only thing I’m reading right now Marvel-wise are the Noir books, which I’m really enjoying. So most of my Dark Reign points come from spoilers and your show.

But, I will say I love the Mighty thanks to you guys!

I will agree, it is not a perfect issue. But compare this to other event books. Compare this to stuff like Dark Reign where nothing really happens and things are stretched out. Compare this to Amazons Attack and Secret Invasion where you needed every ancillary book to get half of what was going on. Comparatively, it’s not that bad.

This issue may have had a lot of information, and I agree with Alex that Gen’s death was frustrating and insulting. But, again, there are a lot worse comics out there and if this turns out to be the only bad issue in the series, it’s still better that most.

You know, poor werewolves, Frankenstein’s monster and the Creature from the Black Lagoon! They get no love in comics and their movie franchises won’t get off the ground cause everyone wants another Romero “…of the dead” or damned Twilight! I’ll just stick with The Monster Squad thank you very much!
