Utter the phrase “I’ll be back” to anyone, and the person will instantly know you’re quoting Arnold Schwarzenegger in any number of movies. Arguably the most famous California governor in history (only one jelly-bean-loving former president can compete for the title), Schwarzengger’s movies and catchphrases are the stuff of legend. But what about the movies (and roles) you haven’t heard about? Let’s check out the five best that you haven’t seen (and five honorable mentions):

In movies like The Curious Case of Benjamin Button and Jack, genetic aging disorders are treated with whimsy. They’re chances for us, as an audience, to reflect on what adult life really means through the eyes of a child. But for Brooke Greenberg, being a teenager trapped in the body of an infant isn’t all life lessons and magic.

For the past sixteen years, Greenberg has maintained the appearance and development of an infant, baffling researchers who have been unable to identify any previous known genetic disorder in her genome. Brooke’s condition is so unique, in fact, that scientists now believe her body may hold the key to eternal youth. Somebody tell Hugh Jackman, stat, because he thinks it’s in a space tree (The Fountain, anyone?)

You Didn’t Order Enough Mayhem

How does the star of one of the biggest movies of all time spend the Saturday after his movie opens? Calling comic book stores, of course.

Though Tyrese Gibson’s name isn’t above the title of Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen, he is front and center through most of the movie, which looks to be on pace to break The Dark Knight’s opening weekend record of $205 million. But Gibson isn’t concerned with that today. Instead, he’s working hard getting comic book stores, and non-comic book fans to order his upcoming book, Mayhem.

042309_mayhemFans of Tyrese have been hitting up his Twitter feed (@Tyrese4ReaL) all day long, after the star has urged his 155,096 followers to call their local comic book shop, and order the book. Here’s the kicker: if the fans call the shop, and the shop says they haven’t ordered the book, they’ve been tweeting back Tyrese with the shops’ phone numbers… At which point the star has called the shops himself to ask them to order the book.

Given that he’s starring in the number one movie in the country, that probably holds quite a bit of sway over the owner of any comic book store.

Even more important, the majority of tweeters comprising this virtual street team have had one common thing to say: “I’ve never bought a comic before, never been in a comic book store before, but I’ll buy your comic, Tyrese.”

There’s been other pieces of evidence that the actor has been looking to the music street team model to spread the word, including forum postings, YouTube videos, and a website called BuyMayhem.com, which previews the book, and shows you just how to buy, and help promote it as well.

Will every single follower of Tyrese on Twitter buy the book? Probably not. And I honestly have no idea how many will be printed to meet the demand. But considering the top selling comics the past few months have peeked well under 100,000, and Gibson is getting the word out to far, far more than that, the question remains: have you ordered enough copies of Mayhem?

Ah, dentists. As the song goes, they have a talent for causing things pain. But with new advances in the field of dentistry, the pain might be more fleeting than you think. And it’s all thanks to Star Wars. Well, kind of.

Presenting the Cool Plasma Blowtorch (that’s cool as in cold, though the technology is also pretty nifty), the latest advancement in dental care that kills plaque, cleans your teeth, and looks exactly like Mace Windu’s lightsaber. Plasma is an ionized gas, the fourth state of matter (after solid, liquid, and gas), and is usually hot. For example, the center of stars are made of hot plasma, and if introduced to your face, would probably blast it apart. Same with both Sith and Jedi lightsabers, hence the cauterization of wounds and the melting of metal when a Jedi tries to chop through your blast door.
