Here’s the controversial ‘No Russian’ game play from Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2. Personally, I don’t get why it’s a big deal. It’s disturbing, but serves the story. You have the option to watch the sequence via a disclaimer that pops up before you play the game. Hell, should you choose to interact, there’s the option to shoot the civilians yourself or not to shoot. It’s ultimately your call. Infinity Ward doesn’t force you to do anything uncomfortable to progress, and I applaud them for it. I felt more uncomfortable with some of the moral choices in Fable II, and there came a point where the story wouldn’t let you progress made it difficult to progress unless you made a horrendous decision in that game.

There is powerful imagery at work in Modern Warfare 2. If folks are getting hung up on this scene, they’re kind of missing the forest for the trees.

Anyway, Modern Warfare 2 tells a challenging story, and this is certainly one aspect of it. Game play follows the jump, and you can read our review here.

Yeah, I don’t see what the big point of it is. Oh well, looking forward to playing it!

For the record, you never *actually* have to do anything horrible in Fable 2. The story will progress you just have to really stand by your morals.

The bad guy just keeps punishes you for resisting with an experience point hits, which is hitting you right where it hurts for most gamers.

I always wondered what would’ve happened if I killed the guy. The hit to my exp was painful. I’m a punk, though. I still can’t bring myself to be a ‘bad guy’ in a video game. Fable 2 was the best motivator I’ve seen, though…

I just played this level and I’m stuck on the Takedown stage :(

I was wondering why the cops didn’t do anything when they saw 4 or so heavy armed men carrying rifles entered the airport…they kinda just…stood there :/

well youd be suprised how ofter airports in other countries have heavily armed security or military in them. I’ve travelled alot and always found it interesting how they just walk around like its no big deal.
