Adan, New X seems to have morphed into a torture exercise for these kids and the supporting cast. Does someone need to be killed or mutilated every issue? I've reached the point where i just feel bad for them now.
As for X-Factor, maybe it's just an acquired taste, as stated, I just don't find PD's little quips and jokes very funny. It had it's place for me when I collected X-Factor in the 90s, but now I feel I've just outgrown his style. I did, however, give it a chance, I bought the first few issues, stopped around 6. Maybe I'll get lucky and Marvel will condense the X-books into like 2 comics per month. (Kinda like what they're gonna do with the Spider-titles).

I think I'll give Madame Mirage one more issue before I walk away from it completely. I have way too much faith in Dini. However that faith is quickly starting to fade, especially since Countdown won't get on with it already!

Are you joking? There are only two good X-titles out right now, and those are X-factor and New X-men. Every other X-book is inferior by far (some farther than others). In fact, the only reason I pick up Astonishing is for the same reason you pick up Justice League of America: the art. I've long since stopped trying to make sense of Whedon's lack-of-plots.

Brad Meltzer must do some really good work with his novelizations, thus far I'm totally unimpressed with his JLA arcs. Confusing, hackneyed dialogue...seriously, I"m just buying thisbook for the art - sad to say.
Re: the X-Universe. What needs to be decimated seriously is the number of X-titles there are. Keep Uncanny & Astonishing, Adjectiveless, New and X-Factor can go (never been a fan of Peter David's tongue-in-cheek style - hey, if you want to write comedy, just GO WRITE COMEDY). Exiles is past it's prime, as is Excalibur, let's just retire Chris Claremont all together, please? I don't hate the guy, but when was the last time he wrote a good story?
Re: the Flash - stopped it after 2 issues, it took me that long to realize that I never really cared for Bart - he was too obnoxious, and while I loved Changeling when we were around the same age, alas the same could not be said for part. Welcome back, Wallace West!
