I was at a comic book show in Brooklyn on Saturday and among the exhibitors was someone from the band TV on the Radio, a local band, and he had some comics he was peddling. I flipped through one – kinda light on story but with some intriguing imagery. Still, I wasn’t about to pay $6 for it, which is what he was charging. I’ll see if I can find out some more about this.

A Rochester, NY paper ran a Jump Start strip that depicted Joe, the police officer main character, getting shot – and now the strip is getting blamed for a police shooting the same week, which is absolutely insane. Start reading the strip from here and see if you agree.

On a lighter note – congratulations to cartoonist Masheka Wood, who’s expecting his first child with his wife and fellow cartoonist Mikhaela Reid.
