Wow, it’s finally here, huh? PopCultureShock Staff Blogs. You know, I doubted Brother J for a little while, but he really got it together this time, huh? Now it’s up to us, the fine men and women who totally promised to blog, even become bloggers, if and when this section was launched.

So here I am, Jon! Poised and ready to fill your front page with off-the-cuff commentary, news, and entertaining anecdotes! For the rest of you, people who may never have experienced the pure feelings of love and joy that come complimentary at our internationally-acclaimed PopCultureShock New York Comic-Con After Party (and, hey, whatta ya know, this year’s is only about a week away!), well, I’m Dylan Garret. If you check the About Us page on PCS, you might see my name somewhere, probably next to something that has something to do with music. I happen to run a small DJ/music collective called the Bridge & Causeway, which just so happens to be hosted by this site as well. I’d link it here, but I’m not a whore.

Anyway, the point is, now, when not working on some bitchingly awesome critique of the music industry, we have these fly new PCS Staff Blogs to toy around with.

And I’m sorry about the whoring.

So! There will be more to come. But for now, I must talk about It’s A Wonderful World, the upcoming, highly anticipated DS game by Square-Enix that isn’t the 9th part of another ongoing, critically acclaimed series involving quests for dragons and such.

. . . In other words, watch this video.

The DS Lite is still my favorite gaming-related purchase of 2006 (at least, my favorite gaming-related purchase that doesn’t involve the words “Guitar” and “Hero”). Square-Enix. Man. Between this game, and Dragon Quest IX coming out for DS near the end of the year, 2007 is shaping up to be a hell of a year for us underpaid musician/writer types.

Now, where my gamers at?

It's A Wonderful World
