Well damn! This one wasn’t even a question! Ms. Dash took the early lead and didn’t let go of that bitch for nothing. Poor Mariqueen never stood a chance. Once again, this was all you guys, so pat yourselves on the back!

Alrighty, folks! I hope you all had a good weekend, got some rest, maybe got in a little trouble, etc. In any event, it’s another Monday, and that means it’s time for another showdown! So let’s dispense with the formalities and get to the honies!

(Because you asked for her . . . . )

Stacey Dash (Clueless, Mo’ Money, my subconscious)
Sweet pickles and an onion!!! Stacey’s ability to play a teenager well into her thirties was always an impressive feat. But even more impressive is how much finer she gets with every passing year! Does she have access to the Fountain of Youth? Regular baths in the blood of virgins? What is her secret?!?!?!

VS.

Mariqueen Maandig (West Indian Girls, How To Destroy Angels)
Damn you, Trent Reznor!! Rock stars having fine-ass wives is nothing new, but did she have to be this fine?!? AND y’all work on trippy-ass techno-rock music together?!? Yeah, Damn you, Trent Reznor!

So there you have it! And like last week, you’ve got until Friday morning at 10:00am (EST) to cast your votes. So get on with it!

Surprisingly, the tide didn’t turn on this one until last night, as the race had been neck-and-neck pretty much all week. Real Talk! But after a week of voting (which I did not participate in!), you guys crowned Dania Ramirez this week’s Future Ex-Wife, taking out Lie To Me’s Monica Raymund. And to the folks who actually voted the third choice, what’s the matter with y’all?!? Whatever, haters! Until next time, revise those pre-nups, and rock them disposable burners like The Wire when you gotta keep in contact with the mistress!

Alright, as you’ve all been informed, I’m doing something different for Future Ex-Wife of the Week, and you all are gonna participate, cotdammit! Every Monday (excluding yesterday, ’cause it was a holiday!), I’ll be presenting two lovely ladies for you readers to choose from, with the winner announced at the end of the week. So let’s get this show on the road!

In the red corner (if there were a red corner):
Monica Raymund (Lie To Me)

VS.

In the blue corner (if there were a blue corner):
Dania Ramirez (She Hate Me, Heroes, X-Men: The Last Stand)

Now, both women are quite stunning if I may say so, although Dania’s got a few more credits to her name. Then again, I wonder if Heroes is even worth mentioning, given the atrocity that was her story arc on that show. As for Monica, her role as a specialist who can tell when people are lying is certainly interesting. May not be the kind of woman you want to pursue. You know eventually she’s gonna ask that quintessential question all women ask of men, “Do these pants make me look fat?” You might as well jump out a nearby window at that point!

If you’re a hip-hop fan in DC, and you wanna take advantage of the long holiday weekend, this is the show you need to check out.

I take no shame in admitting that I actually watched quite a few seasons of America’s Next Top Model back in the day. If nothing else, the show gave us Tocarra, in all her full-figured glory, who was arguably the standout of Italian Vogue’s much-ballyhooed “Black Issue” from 2008, as well as Adrienne Curry’s crazy ass, and all those delightful peepshow-style TwitPics of her doing geek shit!

I could never understand why we didn’t hear more of Davina throughout the rest of the 90s. She finally released a follow-up album independently in 2007, but I had higher hopes for her after releasing Best of Both Worlds. It’s one of the few albums I own where I genuinely love every song. From her first single “So Good”, to gems like “When It Rains”, “The Way I Feel About You”, and a cover of Michael Jackson’s “Can’t Help It” that definitely does the original justice, I was hooked. Perfect music to get your lovin’ on to.

If you haven’t noticed (and how could you not), we’re big hip-hop heads here at PCS, and we’re always gonna try and put you guys on to some new shit. We let you know about Educated Consumers in the past, now Seez Mics from the group has teamed up with DJ Cam One for a new project, Broken Clock: Skeleton Key. Five Bucks for all this good shit?! You know you got five dollars you’re not using? Get that shit!

Even after watching clips of the up-and-coming British pop singer’s short film, Love, Kills, I’m still not sure.

The film is a glimpse into the deepest and darkest impulses of the “dark pop” scene queen’s imagination.

As represented by her kidnapping men and taking Polaroids of them with Sharpie mustaches, and a scene where her reflection talks to her! Oh, how exciting!

I’m not gonna lie, though. It does kinda pull you in after a while.

How can you not love a woman who comes out with a song called “Bullshittin’”?! Just be sure not to piss her off, thought! I’m actually surprised I that I never got into the Brand New Heavies when they first came out, but I always remember N’Dea Davenport for her vocal contribution on Guru’s Jazzamatazz with “Trust Me”. Her solo album still gets plenty of play on the iPod.
