Barack Obama Superman, Graphitti Style

Posted by: Jon Haehnle on September 25, 2008 at 12:52 pm

Just walking to lunch and I saw graphitti style Barack Obama Superman & John McCain Lex Luthor (click to enlarge):

Actually I’m pretty sure McCain isn’t Luthor (although I’m not sure who he is supposed to be), it just seemed that way when I first saw Super Obama up above him…

I can’t believe dumb asses like yourself are still so racist that you ignore the issues that need to be fixed because a black man is running for office.

Uh, alright, my bad, all due respect, because I guess I didn’t put it in enough context. Mr. Brown is my black friend/business partner and fellow official PCS DJ, which is something Jon and a bunch of other staffers here already knew, that I took for granted and didn’t explain. I thought the quote was funny because, as Jon just said to me 15 seconds ago after Obama was named president-elect, “Wow, I really thought too much of America was still too racist to vote for a black guy, but it’s great that they actually got past that and did it.” That’s all the original quote meant, that as a black man my friend never thought America would be able to elect a black person this soon, but that we have (in addition to Obama being a great candidate in general) is a testament to how badly the country has been screwed up in the past 8 years.

So yeah, no racism here. If there was, believe me, I doubt they’d let me work for this site in the first place. Sorry it got taken the wrong way.
