James –

Thanks for the hate! As the writer of the book it’s always good to get good feedback, positive or negative. Sorry the preview didn’t grab you but if it’s any consolation I’m JUST as tired of zombie stories as you are (which I hope would be evidenced by Derrick kicking Cynthia out in the first place). That’s why I’m writing this one — trying to take a seriously new perspective on something that’s been done to death. It’s difficult to even characterize it as a zombie story — it’s much more of a mystery, with the idea of zombies forming a backdrop, fueling the desire to get to a true answer behind the attacks. I do have to say that Archaia doesn’t seem to have let many people down yet so hopefully their vote of confidence in the book might give you a little more hope.

I’m not a big fan of zombie stuff and the art style isn’t what I usually go after… however… what extremely little of the story i’ve read so far comes off as more of a murder mystery from way back in the day.. it has potential.. and even though i’m not a huge fan of that art style for some reason it intrigued me a little sort of brought me in with the grittyness (is that a word?) of it. I’ll hold off on my opinion till i see more… right now it could go the same way so many have before (person cries zombie no one believes almost everyone dies someone saves the day) or it could go somewhere else entirely… i’d like to see what happens

WOW!!! I just picked this book up today. This is really, really good. The art is awe inspiring and writing leaves nothing to be desired. When is issue 2 coming out? I WANT MORE!!!

ProjectMX – Appreciate you holding off judgement. Based on what you’re looking for, I think you’ll be pleasently surprised – sounds like we’re on the same page with the subject matter.

Enzo – That’s some serious love man – issue 2 is hitting the first week of October and was solicited in this months Previews so make sure to tell your local shop (or 10) to order it!
