IMDB is currently listing Lou Ferrigno as the Hulk and Edward Norton as Bruce Banner in 2012 Avengers movie. Does this mean a Ferrigno-voiced CGI Hulk?

As incredible as it would be to see Hulk in an Ultimates-style Avengers story (I get all fanboy excited just thinking about that) you have to be pretty skeptical about these castings.
I mean, I don’t usually do a lot of IMDB-ing, but I’m surprised to see “rumored” next to actors’ names in cast listings. Is IMDB user-generated like Wikipedia now? Can Lou Ferrigno’s agent just add him to any old Marvel movie cast?
On top of this, just yesterday MTV’s Splash Page reported talking to Norton himself about Marvel movies, and Hulk developments in particular, and the actor said he’d heard nothing new. In fact, he told them “If you hear anything, then let me know.”

Well, the assumption seems to be that everyone who has signed on for their individual films have already signed on for Avengers. Unless that IS the case, but I’m not sure. I’m sure all the primary actors have signed multi-pic deals for those idividual superhero movies, but I don’t know if they’re all a done deal for Avengers. Not to mention Norton’s alleged issues with Marvel Studios over the course of filming Incredible Hulk. It definitely would be nice to have more concrete confirmation on whether or not Norton would be involved, because watching Hulk and Incredible Hulk a day apart from one another, I’m reminded that Incredible is a far superior film. And Norton as Banner was so strong that I can’t imagine anyone else in the role.

(rumored) has been used for quite a while, and as for who can add information on an IMDB page, my assumption was that you can try, but it’s up to IMDB if that new information is approved.

Kayode: Yeah, hopefully Marvel can get it together with Norton.
Vichus: Thanks for the info!
