I love Laurell K. Hamilton’s novels and the fact that they are now coming out in comics blows my mind.
The art is amazing the characters are just as I pictured them. The artist is gifted and amazing and I cant wait for the next installment.

Just checked out this comic book pre-view… It seems good, I guess. I mean, I’ll probably read it. I don’t like it when great books get more form than they need though. Every time a Stephen King book gets made into a movie I cringe in horror, from the desecration of the novel. I wonder how the comic books are going to get through the post “Killing Dance” books without turning into xxx anime. Keep up the good work Laurell.

I freaked out when I heard they were publishing an Anita Blake comic book. The next best thing to a movie, right?
Well I was so disappointed to find out that Anita looks like the things she’s supposed to kill! Not only that, but she looks like a Barbie doll. And she has pout-y lips. Since when is Anita pout-y?

I posted that I didn’t like the artwork on an earlier page, but I have since changed my mind. At least about Jean-Claude.

I’ve actually just begun reading the Anita Blake books. I just finished The Circus of the Damned and I’m waiting for the next to come in the mail.

I’ve got to compliment the comic version of Jean-Claude because, for some reason, when I read I just can’t picture him as anything but a kinda creepy old dude. But these illustrations definately help. A lot.

Love the series, looks like I’ll love the comics too. ^_^

Although I have to wonder what will be done re: sex scenes. Some of them have been *very* integral to the plot, re: where Anita’s relationship to the rest of the characters stands.
