Update & DVD street date

Off to the San Diego Comic-con for a couple of days then in the ATL (Atlanta for those not up on acronyms) Friday for a screening of the full-length Director’s Cut of “Akira’s Hip Hop Shop” at 2pm at the Woodruff Arts Center downtown.

“Akira’s Hip Hop Shop” is also proud to be an official selection of the Martha’s Vineyard African American Film Festival. We screen in upstate New York on Friday August 8th between 10am - 11:30. Please see http://www.mvaaff.com/ for information on this festival.

Finally, the announcement many of you have been waiting for … a street date for the Akira DVD. We’re looking at Tuesday, August 19th for a street date for the DVD. The price will be $10 plus $4.80 for shipping in the U.S., details on International shipping will be forthcoming. This release will be supported by an appearance by myself and James Kyson Lee in Los Angeles in September. More details on that later.
