A few years ago, there was a graphic novel called Street Angel that came out which was a balls-out, fantastically fun romp of a comic (not unlike the Scott Pilgrim series of books, by way of comparison). One of the supporting characters in that book was a blaxploitation-like character called Afrodisiac that sort of became a breakout “star” on his own, and now the Street Angel creators, Jim Rugg and Brian Maruca, have given him his own graphic novel, which is in the current Previews for pre-order. I urge you to do so, because this is an awesome character and Rugg & Maruca have plenty of fun with him.
