7-Year-Old Fights Cancers With Comic

I’m cribbing this piece from Bleeding Cool, as this is the first I’m hearing of it. But how could I not, right?
“The Dominator is a powerful hero who repeatedly fights and beats the furious and monstrous Megazoid. That’s the story seven year old Dominic Osorio told himself as he struggled to remain perfectly still, encased in a mask receiving radiation therapy for brain cancer.”
Dominic told some helpful and creative adults his method of coping, and they turned the kid’s fantasy into a charity comic benefitting children’s cancer research. I can’t say I was nearly as creative with my own time spent in various scanners or sitting at home convalescing on radioactive lockdown. I’m impressed and inspired by Dominic’s ability to keep his spirits up in such an inventive way. I’m also inspired by the people who had the initiative to turn Dominic’s private coping mechanism into something that can help so many other kids just like him. Good vibes, all around!
