Jimmie Robinson talks about his Wolverine What If story.

There’s a print magazine called Stop Smiling and the current issue has an interview with rapper turned film composer RZA in which he talks, in part, about comics. Here’s a sample:

“…some of the biggest movies is about super heroes. Society needs super heroes mentally and physically though. And mentally, you know, you get them through entertainment, you know, in characters like Bobby Digital [his superhero character] or your favorite comics, Spiderman [sic], Superman. Physically, you get it from people that go out every day in the world and struggle with world crisises [sic]… We need super heroes, man, and a super hero is somebody who does something super. So you could say, like, Malcolm X, that’s a super hero, Dr. King, those are super heroes as well, y’know what I mean? I think we definitely need super heroes in our lives.”

(Thanks to Michael Gonzales for the tip.)

I have yet to see the show Lost, nor do I know a great deal about it besides the basic premise, but I know it’s got a supernatural bent to it, so I guess it qualifies as sci-fi. Anyway, actor Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje has left the show and Entertainment Weekly talks to him about it.
